The Private Pilot Licence (PPL), is the first stage of pilot training that allows student pilots to obtain the foundational knowledge and skills for all future aircraft pilot training. It involves both theory and flight instruction training. A qualified PPL holder may fly privately for their own pleasure with their friends and family but may not fly for pay, compensation or hire. The PPL is your foundation course on a pathway to a Commercial Pilot’s License.
Approximate Duration: 6 months for full-time course. Minimum approved grant for PPL by the Kenya Civil Aviation Authority is 40 hours of flight training.
